Introduction

Sifton School is an English-medium, co-educational institution dedicated to providing quality education. Hindi is taught as a compulsory subject from the beginning. Along with strong academics, we focus on the all-round development of every child. Computer education is mandatory from Class 3 onwards to help students stay updated with modern technology.

⭐ Admission

The academic session runs from March to February.
Registrations begin in the second week of December.

Parents must submit the completed admission form at the school office along with three stamp-size photographs by the specified date. The date of birth recorded at the time of admission is final.

Admission is granted only after the child qualifies in the written entrance test.

⭐ Nursery & Kindergarten – Play & Learn

Teaching in Nursery and Kindergarten follows the Play Way Method.

Learning is made fun with colourful, computerised assignments.

Attractive stickers and activity sheets are provided.

Activities focus on building early learning habits, creativity, and motor skills.

⭐ Library

The school has a well-stocked children’s library.
Students from Class 3 onwards can borrow storybooks to build reading habits and improve English language skills.

Books must be returned on the due date.

A fine of ₹5 per day is charged after the due date.

Lost or damaged books must be replaced or paid for.

⭐ Computer Lab

Computer classes are held for students of Class 3 and above.

Students learn the basics of:

Windows

MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Science lessons are supported with multimedia and smart classes, helping students understand concepts better. Science teaching is also aided with practical demonstrations.

⭐ Project Work & Co-Curricular Activities

Students are encouraged to complete project work in General Science and Social Science.
Chart papers are provided by the school and the completed work is kept in the student’s annual file.

To promote overall development, the school organizes various competitions throughout the year, including:

Elocution

An Aptitude Test is conducted annually to evaluate students’ IQ levels.
Winners receive Merit Certificates and Medals.
A grand Cultural Programme is also held every year.

⭐ Excursion Trips

The school organizes yearly educational tours to places such as:

Botanical Garden

Science Centre

Museums

Tiny tots are taken to parks, while senior students visit the Sanjay Gandhi Botanical Garden.
These trips are usually free of cost.

⭐ Examinations

The school conducts three major exams:

  1. First Term
  2. Second Term
  3. Third Term

Along with these, regular Unit Tests and Class Tests are also held.
Unit Test answer sheets are sent home for parents to check and sign.

Unit Tests carry 30 marks which are added to the 70 marks of each major exam.

Parents must return signed exam papers within two days.
Promotion is based on the child’s overall performance throughout the year.

Grading System

A1: 80% & above – White card – 5 points

B2: 70%–79% – Pink card – 4 points

C3: 60%–69% – Yellow card – 3 points

Below 40% – Fail

Terminal Exam Fee is payable in May, August, and December.

⭐ School Uniform

Wearing the school uniform is compulsory.
Uniform must be neat and clean; otherwise, the child may be sent back home.

⭐ Payment of Fees

Monthly fees must be paid by the 15th of every month through cash or online.
After this, a late fine of ₹30 is charged.
Arrears are accepted the next month with a default fine of ₹40.

Regular defaulters may be asked to withdraw their ward.

Special combined payments:

May & June fees – paid together in May

September & October fees – paid in September

January & February fees – paid in January

Parents must ensure this payment schedule suits them before taking admission.

⭐ Attendance

Regular attendance is essential.
A written leave application must be sent with the child after any absence and recorded in the school diary.

If a student remains absent without information for a long period, the name may be struck off the rolls.

A minimum of 75% attendance is required for promotion in the Annual Examination.

⭐ Guidelines for Parents & Students

Students must reach school before the final bell. Late entry beyond 10 minutes is not allowed.

Parents must bring the Identification Card (provided at admission) while picking up their child.

If the ID card is lost, report immediately for a duplicate.

Parents of students who go home alone must give a written declaration.

Check and sign the school diary daily.

Do not give money to students unless specifically allowed.

Pay fees on time to avoid inconvenience.

For any concerns, parents may meet the Principal between 9 AM to 10 AM with an appointment.
